Part 2~ Our European Journey ~

just a parlor...

the grand ballroom

Some of the lavish rooms we found... there were too many to photograph, literally hundreds. One of the most impressive was the grand ballroom. There Joan and I waltzed beneath scores of opulent chandeliers.Lara's Theme

Joan plays president for a day

We walked for hours through the amazing architecture, viewing more materpieces than one would in most museums. Finally, we were led into President Havel's own office where Joan sat at his desk and penned him a note. Across from her was an amazing Egyptian statue, one of many gifts from foreign dignitaries. Afterwards, we were served a snack in the President's office and Joan offered an a capella song to commemorate the occasion. Then we walked out across the palace grounds, wandering in and out of the numerous shops, until we finally reached the hundreds of steps down the hill.  Along the road to home, Gene snapped this picture of me, Jerry Daniels (our production manager), and Mark Peterson (our bassist)...
